Plans for Next Year
I had spent hours reading course descriptiosn and evaluations when I read on Facebook that Mira ran a personal record in the Marathon last weekend. I realized how little courses mean to me. By this point I know the limits of my intellectual curiosity. Although there are benefits in getting to know great professors well, the opportunity cost is huge.
Here are things I want to do next year:
- Run the half Marathon. This will likely take half a year of training.
- Play the guitar.
- Draw anime.
- Travel to see friends. Explore America.
The last thing probably means that in the spring term I will only take courses on Wed and Thurs:
- Negotiation Workshop (WTh 3-7 4Cr)
- Securities Litigation (Th 9:50-11:50 2Cr)
- Legal Architecture of Globalization (WTh 1-2:30 3Cr)
- International Aspects of U.S. Income Taxation (WTh 8:40-10:10 3Cr)
First term is a little more flexible, with some of these courses
- Immigratin and Refugee Clinic (Th 4Cr)
- Legal Profession (MT 3-4Cr)
- Jurisprudence (MT 3Cr)
- Mergers and Acquisitions (T 2Cr)
- Japanese Law Film (W 2Cr)
- Legal Writing (MW 2Cr)
- Constitutional Law: FIrst Amendment (4Cr)
